I’ve Been Hacked on Twitter
I have been a Twitter user for awhile now. A few days ago, I received a Direct Message via Twitter from a fellow ham with a link to some kind of IQ test. It was unusual because I didn’t normally get Direct Messages, especially from this person. The next day when I logged into my account, there was another Direct Message from this person with a note “you are here” and a link. So, I clicked on it and it brought me to what appeared to be a blank website. Soon, my Twitter account was spewing out phishing Direct Messages to all of my followers. I used TweetDeck, and some think that application has weak security and maybe my account was compromised that way. Anyway, I first changed my Twitter password but then decided to just delete my account altogether. I’ll create another one with a different user name.
