Hi Pete…
I don’t actively collect QSL cards much anymore…mainly due to laziness! But, like you, I think it’s nice to get a pack of cards in the mail from the bureau every so often. In the last batch I got a few weeks ago there were at least two cards from pre-2004. However, I had a different call sign then. I suppose the cards were meant for the former holder of my call, now an SK. I also had a few post ’04, but for which I don’t have any entry in my log. I imagine every so often call signs get copied down wrong or messy writing on the card gets misinterpreted at the bureau. I really do need to catch up on my outgoing cards though!

I think a window panel is the way to go. No masonry drilling or holes when I go to sell the house. Thanks!

The Radio Shack receiver I have now is a DX-390. I used to keep it in the bedroom and would tune it to 28.345, a frequency used by 10-10ers, to see if 10 meters was open while I was reading in the evening. It’s on my work bench now.

Hey Pete…

What was the model of that Radio Shach receiver? My first ‘real’ shortwave receiver was a DX-160 I got back in the mid 70’s. I still have it on a shelf. It gave me a lot of pleasure years ago. Many years later I bought a used DX -302, which was…well a piece of junk! Radio Shack receivers were sometimes great and sometimes real dogs!
