Both are great radios. Oe is just more portable than the other, that’s all.

Yep, I use HDR just about exclusively (except for logging during some QSO parties). Great program and works extremely well with my Icom 706MKIIG. Especially for not needing all those nested menus and such.

I also live in a HOA. Today at the swap meet I purchased a AH4 and have loaded a 102 inch cb whip with two ground rods that works really well on 10-80m and will work 6m with a wire extension. Another idea is a buddipole. I have found them to work quite well also but not nearly as rugged as the AH-4.
