BIOGRAPHY

I grew up most of my life living in the heart of Minneapolis.

Since the mid 90’s I have called Central Minnesota home.

I’m an avid disc golfer, cook, and sports fan.

I got into ham radio in January of 2010, after reading up about it. Since then it has become a part of me. As I learn more and more about this fun hobby, the more I love it. The rumors of hams being some of the friendliest people on earth is true.

Thanks for working W0L – it has been an absolute blast on this end. In october we are planning to do a special event station for the 45th anniversary of the completion of the Gateway Arch.

Matt – I searched our database and found that your call sign was entered incorrectly, I’ll send an e-mail to the database admin to get it fixed. The lady who worked you tends to get callsigns wrong, but at 89 years old we don’t make too much of it. WOL is actually pretty special to her – she remembers watch Lindbergh fly over on his way to New York when she was 6 years old in Erie, PA. I’ll let you know when it’s fixed.

Matt – most of us enter them in the log within a few hours. I enter mine as soon as my “shift” is over. Let me know the date, time (either UTC or central), and band and I’ll check and see who was operating then. Or if the op gave you his/her name, I can see about tracking it down.

POSSIBLY buying a tower. Need to get ahold of the Zoning Department and find out how much of a hassle they’re going to give me. And make sure there are no covenants in place preventing me… ;)
